Let’s continue transforming lives, together!
Transformation Food Banks Canning Project
At Transformation Food Banks & Community Hubs, we are committed to improving food security in Cornwall. In 2024 alone, we provided over 134,320 meals to families and individuals in need. Despite the incredible generosity of our community - who donate food at collection points across Camborne, Pool and Redruth - we still face a shortfall that requires us to spend heavily to meet demand. In 2024, we spent £80,000 on nutrient and protein-rich food just to keep up.
To continue this vital work and bring long-term sustainability to our efforts, we’re proud to announce an exciting new initiative...
Cornwall’s first food bank-led canning venture, launched this May!
This pioneering project will allow us to reduce food purchasing costs, provide nutrient-rich tinned meals for our service users and distribute these meals to other food banks, larders and food cupboards across Cornwall at a reduced rate - amplifying our collective impact.
We’re aiming to raise £25,000 to help fund the launch of this initiative - and your support can make it happen.
Watch our short film about this game-changing project and find out how you can get involved.
Together, we can build a stronger, more food-secure Cornwall.
Cheers to Community!
We’re raising a glass to generosity, creativity and local collaboration.
This month, we're proud to share a short photo-film celebrating the bold partnership between Bluntrock Brewery and Pard Card. Together, they launched a beer brewed with purpose, with a portion of every sale donated to support Transformation Food Banks & Community Hubs.
Shot at Bluntrock Brewery and Carlyon Bay, the photo-film tells a story of kindness in action, where local business, creative branding and grassroots charity come together to tackle food insecurity in Cornwall.
We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s enjoyed a Pard Pilsner, and to the teams at Bluntrock and Pard Card for backing our mission. Your support helps keep our food bank services running across Camborne, Pool and Redruth.

A Gift of Words from Roger
We are honoured to share this powerful and heartfelt poem written by Roger, who we’ve had the privilege of supporting. His words reflect the compassion, courage and community spirit that we see at our Camborne Community Hub and Food Bank.
A printed copy of Roger’s poem is proudly displayed at the Hub, a reminder that kindness, respect and understanding can transform lives.
Thank you, Roger, for trusting us with your story.
This poem is from me and I give it to thee
Now this wonderful place I was shown long ago
I was broken and weak and so full of woe,
Yet people did judge me just from my outside
As I sat here broken I swallowed my pride.
So please remember we’re all in a bind
We’re all here for help, in the place that we find.
Now I’m lucky I suppose, I finally understand,
No one has the right to judge your fellow man
And it does not matter where anyone is from
We all had a Mother,
We are all somebody’s son
Now I do not care how anyone came here
But no one should ever sit here in fear
So please be polite to anyone you meet,
No matter our colour or the smell of our feet -
We’re all in it together, under this roof, and the fact I feel better; I’m living proof
Now this place is a gift where we can all talk
Help one another, so we can all walk
And just because Don has gone from here now
Don’t think you can be rude to my friends as I vow
Be nice or be quiet
